Lesson Planner Advanced v5 adds many new features to it's already impressive feature set. We've also added a few cool ways you can use Lesson Planner Advanced in your lessons. The new additions include:
• create schemes of work using standard DfES template
• add lessons to a scheme of work and fill in the lesson content
• tag lessons with either U.S. state standards or U.K. national curriculum programmes of study
• insert U.K. national curriculum attainment targets
• easily find and print lists of state standards, programmes of study and attainment targets
• lesson plans include additional page for showing state standards or programmes of study attached to the lesson
• software update version checking and download
• customised menus that are more intuitive and display dynamically depending upon which screen you are viewing
• roll over help added to fields and buttons to provide better indication about what should be entered in a field or what action clicking a button is going to perform
• pop-up calendars added to date fields to make date selection and entry really easy
• more preference options added for enabling or disabling roll over help, continuous printing, etc
• printing output now includes the option to use continuous printing or fixed printing. Continuous printing will print all lesson plan field content even if there is more content than can be displayed on screen
• New Auto Printing menu option added to allow quick and easy finding and printing of lessons and schedules
• Insert menu now includes an Insert Text option for quickly selecting and inserting hard to remember symbols such as copyright, trademark, etc and also bullets and line indents
• Timetable module now features click n tick lesson plan creation. Simply tick the lessons you want to create new plans for and have Lesson Planner Advanced create them
• Timetable menu includes a Generate Lesson Plans option that allows for creation of new lesson plans directly from the timetable
• View menu includes options for selecting the various Lesson Planner Advanced modules
• New menu items include keyboard shortcuts for quickly selecting them
• Lesson Planner Advanced fully supports creating PDF files from any screen with the new Save/Email As PDF menu item
• Lesson plans, timetables, schedules and all other screens can be saved as PDF files. The option to attach the created file to a new email message is also included
• Send Mail has been added to allow the creation of quite comprehensive emails from within Lesson Planner Advanced using existing data
• Find matching option added to right click contextual menu for quick and easy searches on field content or selected text
• Email the content of any field using right click and Export Field Contents
• Spell checking is now visual, misspelled words are underlined as you type, exactly the same as MS Word
• Find tomorrow's lessons and schedule menu items added
• Duplicate selected lesson plans menu
• Lesson summary option that syncs with items list
• Header and footer info option added to items list
• Lesson Planner Advanced now offers mouse wheel support for scrolling through records and fields
